| OEM turbos at 266K miles!! With my new Specialty-Z exhaust system recently installed, I dicided to verify whether my 94TT was in safety boost as I have not been able to get much past the middle line on the OEM boost gauge for a long time now. With the original OEM exhaust system so old, I always felt that the cats could be somewhat clogged (perhaps restricting boost?) and decided to wait and focus on the boost problem after I replaced the exhaust system. This weekend I determined that the knock sensor has failed. I did the 1 meg. resistor bypass to get by until I can relocate a new sensor (until engine is pulled, then replace OEM sensor at proper location). Huge performance increase!! The original OEM turbos spool up past another whole division on the boost gauge (reads now between the 3rd and Max. line at 14 psi). I suspect it is nearly back to the OEM specification of 11 to 13 PSI. No turbo smoke & it sounds and runs just great!!! Just want to share my joy & excitement!! Regards, Jim
